DANA ALISON

Dana Alison is a freelance flutist based in Sydney. She studied with James Kortum at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music before moving to London to complete a Master of Performance at the Royal College of Music, where she studied with Gitte Marcusson, Emer McDonough, Sue Thomas, and Stewart McIlwham.

As a chamber musician, Dana has performed across some of the UK’s most renowned venues, including Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and has recorded at Abbey Road Studios.

Dana was the flute fellow with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in 2025 and has continued working with the orchestra as a casual musician in 2026. She is currently engaged as a casual musician with the Opera Australia Orchestra.
